JSSC Excise Constable Recruitment 2023

The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has released a notification to recruit 583 Excise Constables. The online application process will begin on June 1, 2023, and end on June 30, 2023.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the recruitment, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

• They must be a citizen of India.
• They must have passed the 10th class examination from a recognized board.
• They must be at least 18 and at most 25 years old as on August 1, 2023.
• They must be physically fit and mentally sound.

Age Relaxation

The following age relaxation will be given to the candidates belonging to the reserved categories:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PWD: 10 years

Selection Process

The selection of the candidates will be made based on the following:

• Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
• Written Examination
• Medical Examination

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

The PET will be conducted to test the physical fitness of the candidates. The PET will consist of the following events:

• 100 meters race
• Long jump
• High jump
• Shot put

Written Examination

The written examination will be conducted to test the academic knowledge of the candidates. The written examination will be of objective type and will consist of multiple-choice questions. The question paper will be in English and Hindi.

Medical Examination

A medical examination will be conducted to test the medical fitness of the candidates. The medical examination will include the following tests:

• Visual acuity test
• Blood pressure test
• Heart test
• Chest X-ray

Salary and Perks

The selected candidates will be appointed as Excise Constables in the Jharkhand government. The salary of an Excise Constable is Rs. 15,000 per month. The Excise Constables will also be entitled to other benefits such as medical allowance, house rent allowance, etc.
